Our History

Our Canadian origins date back to Jude Delisle, who established a yogurt business in Montréal, Quebec shortly after the turn of the 20th century. Initially serving doctors who prescribed yogurt as a treatment, Delisle's venture flourished, becoming Canada's top yogurt producer by 1967. In 1968, the company modernized operations with a new facility in Boucherville, near Montréal, and continued to thrive through innovation and market expansion.

In 1993, Delisle joined the Danone Group, rebranding the company as Danone Canada in 1997. In April 2017, Danone acquired WhiteWave Foods, uniting two companies in North America with shared values of purpose, growth, and quality food.
