Annual contest returns with a refreshed digital platform, thousands of instant prizes, and a trip for two to a 2019 Stanley Cup® Final game
Boucherville, Quebec, April 4, 2019: OIKOS® is launching the highly-anticipated fourth edition of its flagship Snack to Win contest with a refreshed digital platform and exciting slate of instant prizes.
Running until June 30, 2019, OIKOS® Snack to Win contest caters to the brand’s core target of young professionals with contest prizing that reflects their active, experience-oriented lifestyles. Consumers have the chance to win a wide range of prizes totalling $60,000 in value, from OIKOS® product coupons to a $1,500 Air Canada gift card, or a $1,000 Scotiabank® Prepaid Visa card. In a nod to the brand’s NHL® partnership, the contest’s grand prize features a trip for two to a 2019 Stanley Cup® Final game. Drawing for the grand prize will take place on May 10th.
“The 2019 edition of OIKOS® Snack to Win contest will offer an enhanced contest experience, supported by an on-and-offline marketing approach that puts the excitement of hockey front and centre,” said Alexandra Latendresse, Senior Brand Manager, Danone Canada. “This contest has proven to be extremely effective for engaging both new and existing consumers with a message that reinforces OIKOS’ niche as a delicious, rewarding snack. We’re excited to leverage new platforms to engage a broader range of Canadians this spring.”
Consumers can participate in OIKOS® Snack to Win contest by purchasing an OIKOS® product and entering a special on-pack promotional code at Oikos.ca/SnacktoWin. Highlights of the marketing activity supporting the 2019 edition of the contest include a robust in-store campaign that will bring the excitement of NHL® hockey to over 850 grocers across Canada. Point-of-sale materials, including thematic standees; bunker headers; fridge wraps; and danglers will create a hockey-themed environment designed to drive participation directly from the dairy aisle.
The advertising campaign also features a 15-second French and English TV spot that brings the excitement of hockey to the Greek islands, where Simon, the hero of the OIKOS® brand’s longstanding ‘Dream’ platform, discovers a red light in his winning OIKOS® pot. The media buy will include various hockey- and sports-themed environments, including YouTube and NHL.com. Social media advertising will drive to the main contest page at Oikos.ca. Finally, consumers can engage with OIKOS® and discover mouthwatering game day recipe recommendations through Kosta, a conversational chatbot accessible on Oikos.ca/SnacktoWin and Facebook Messenger.
OIKOS® products are available in grocery and big-box stores across Canada.
